AI-MI co-PI Leslie Schoop, Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University, has been named a 2026 Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), nominated through the APS Topical Group on Magnetism. She is recognized for “pioneering the application of chemical bonding principles to predict and synthesize novel quantum matter, including the discovery of stable topological semimetals and the innovative design of low-dimensional, magnetic, and correlated electronic systems.” The 2026 cohort includes 153 Fellows selected from APS’s membership of more than 50,000 physicists; the certificate will be presented at the APS Global Physics Summit in April 2027 in Atlanta. Congratulations, Leslie!
